The two days Chris has off for his weekend, are my favorite days of the week. We sit on his couch watching movies, playing video games or just sitting and talking. We can talk and talk and talk! 

Yesterday we went mattress shopping. It was SO much fun. He is playful and patient while shopping. Yet, he really pays attention to what’s going on. I like how involved he is. We found a really good mattress set for under $1000, which was his budget. He is a great shopping buddy! 

Then he took me out to Longhorn Barbeque for dinner. We sit and stare at each other during the meal. This makes me happy. I like that we still have so much to talk about, that dinner isn’t boring or silent. 

After that we had to go grocery shopping for him for the week. He did buy me oranges and yogurt…which is what I eat when I’m snacking at his place. hehe. 

When we got back to his apartment, he checked the mail. Shortly after putting away the groceries, he hands me two packages. One was a Kindle Touch! The other was a beautiful black leather case for it! I was speechless. And then I was all over hugging him. Then more speechless. Then more hugs. Then I was like WHY?!? Why Chris Why?! He smiles and says, “I love you. I like to see you excited and happy.” I’m like why? He smiles and repeats that he loves me. 

No holiday. No event. No reason except that he loves me, wants to see me happy. I don’t deserve him. But, I’m so grateful he’s such a sweet thoughtful person. I seldom get gifts, or receive the amount of attention and time he gives me…so I’m a very lucky girl. :) 

Today I’m at his place alone. Watching the Superbowl. Knitting a Kindle sleeve. hehe. And playing on Tumblr, Twitter and Pinterest. :D

It’s a good day.
