a beef

• How my son expects me to make his sisters stay out of his room, his stuff and not be annoying in his high school life. 
• How my ex expects life to be all about him and his schedule. This includes disrupting the kids for his whims. 
• How my fiance’ is so very patient with my kids to their faces, but when he’s out of patience, he talks to me about them…NOT to them. 

All of this is my being in the center of these relationships. I am very much glue and the middle man. I know it’s easier to talk to me than it is to talk to sisters. I know it’s easier to ask me to wrangle your kids into hanging out with you than you asking them to change their plans or if they want to see you. And I know that it’s intimidating to move in with 4 very intelligent people, three of whom you’re in charge of…but please. Don’t always make me the middle. It’s annoying and frustrating.
